Postpartum, Unfiltered: A Therapist’s Book List for the Season No One Prepares You For
The postpartum period has a way of rearranging everything. Identity, relationships, the body, the mind. It’s tender, disorienting, and far more complex than we usually publicly acknowledge.
In this final installment of my book review series, I’m sharing an (imperfect) list of reads that speak to the emotional, psychological, and deeply human experience of postpartum life.
Some are comforting. Some are confronting. Some aren’t even in my top recommendations. (Just being honest!)
Whether you’re a new parent, supporting one, or a clinician deepening your work, I hope that maybe one of these books offers some language, validation, and a sense that you are not alone in this “bonkers” season of life.
